Our story began 10 years ago when co-founders Caspar Lee and Benji Schaffer met in Cape Town. What started as a friendship turned into a shared idea to improve student accommodation in the city. Together they launched Proper Living, now managing over 1,000 luxury student rooms across Cape Town.

 

At Caspar’s wedding, the idea for their next venture came up. Surrounded by friends and close to the city they both love, they decided to take on a new challenge in the hotel space.

They saw Cape Town’s growing shortage of premium yet affordable accommodation – especially during the busy December and January seasons – and set out to create places that combine great design, convenient locations, and genuine hospitality.
